Job summary

Palm Springs Healthcare Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our compassionate team in Palm Springs, California. You will administer treatments, perform assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary group to support residents' recovery and wellbeing.

Qualified candidates hold an OTA associate degree, a California license, and may have 1 year of clinical experience; new grads are welcome.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current California OTA license.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

Education

Associate degree in Occupational Therapy

Current California OTA license

1 year clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome
