Job summary

Mariner Healthcare's Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to join our clinical team. The OTA administers treatment for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, conducts tests, and supports discharge planning within a patient-centered plan of care.

Candidates should have an Associate degree in Occupational Therapy, CA licensure, and at least 1 year of clinical experience (new grads welcome). A sign-on bonus and PTO/referral bonuses are offered.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current California OTA license.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments, with OT/PT as needed, to ensure safe discharge.
