Fremont Healthcare Center is hiring an Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to provide patient care within the scope of practice and federal guidelines. The position offers a salary range of $85,280 to $104,000 with a sign-on bonus and benefits such as PTO and referral bonuses.

Ideal candidates hold an CA OTA license and an associate degree with at least 1 year of clinical experience or new graduates. OTAs will perform treatments, administer tests, participate in an interdisciplinary team, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• California state license to practice as an OTA.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Administers treatment to patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal problems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts home assessments with OT/PT for discharge planning.

ccupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Assists the patient with tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment, along with the OT/PT as needed.

ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant issued by the state of California.
