Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie in Texas is seeking a Per Diem Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will provide person-centered OT services on a PRN basis, helping residents improve independence and quality of life under supervision of an OT.

The ideal candidate holds a Texas OTA license, is a COTA, and has knowledge of SNF or long-term care settings. Experience with Net Health is a plus, and strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OT treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Documentation preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist according to physician orders.
• Respond to service requests by relaying information and referrals to the OT.
• Ensure all treatments align with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to interventions and report changes.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in‑house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person‑centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long‑term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
