Job summary

Synchrony Rehab is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. The OTA provides therapeutic interventions, ADL training, and participates in treatment plans consistent with professional standards.

Requirements include a degree in OTA from an accredited program and an active state OTA license; CPR certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current, valid state OTA licensure or certification.
• Current CPR certification, preferred.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Experience: 0-1 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and document patients’ responses to therapy; report progress to supervising OT.
• Educate patients and families on home exercises and strategies for continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress; provide observations and insights.
