Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist in an interdisciplinary setting. You will implement therapeutic interventions and contribute to treatment plans designed to improve functional abilities and independence.

This role emphasizes observation, documentation, family education, and collaboration with a broader care team; valid OTA licensure and CPR are important, with 0–1 years of experience typical for entry-level

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a current OTA licensure or certification
• Current valid CPR certification, preferred
• Education: Degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program
• Experience: 0-1 years

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and other interventions.
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques aimed at improving their functional abilities and independence.
• Observe and maintain up-to-date documentation related to patients’ responses to therapy, document their progress, and report findings to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on home exercises, adaptive techniques, and strategies to support continued progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Support Occupational Therapists in evaluating patient needs and progress, providing additional observations and insights.
• Other duties as assigned.
