Job summary

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Synchrony supports an interdisciplinary rehab team under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to deliver therapeutic interventions. The role requires a degree in OTA from an accredited program and active licensure, with CPR preferred.

Qualifications

• OTA degree from an accredited program
• Active state OTA licensure or certification required
• Current CPR certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist in carrying out treatment plans developed by occupational therapists, including therapeutic exercises and ADL training
• Help patients with exercises, activities, and adaptive techniques to improve independence
• Observe and document patients’ responses and progress; report to supervising OT
• Provide education to patients and families on home exercises and adaptive strategies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Support OTs in evaluating patient needs and progress with observations
• Perform other duties as assigned
