Job summary

Big Spring Center for Skilled Care is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab team in Big Spring, TX. Earn a $2,000 sign-on bonus and enjoy comprehensive benefits while helping residents achieve positive outcomes.

The OTA will provide skilled services under OT supervision, plan and administer therapies, and document care in accordance with policy. New grads welcome; SNF/long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Texas license as Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Valid certification as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled OT services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist
