Job summary

Honey Grove Nursing is seeking a compassionate Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will deliver person-centered therapy to residents to improve independence and quality of life.

Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, you will plan and implement treatments, document progress, and communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff. New graduates welcome; a Texas OTA license and COTA credential are required.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OT Assistant license in good standing.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure treatments are delivered per the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long‑term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long‑term care experience preferred
