Rock Creek Health is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. The OTA will deliver targeted therapy, support patients, and collaborate with the supervising OT to improve residents’ independence and quality of life.

Ideal candidates hold a Texas OTA license and COTA credential, with SNF or long-term care exposure. The role emphasizes compassionate care, teamwork, and thorough documentation in a patient-centered setting.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• COTA credential must be current and in good standing.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients to improve function and independence.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments follow the established care plan.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes promptly.
• Complete documentation in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
