Job summary

Alvarado Meadows is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will plan and administer therapy to residents, under the supervision of an OT, to improve independence and quality of life in a skilled nursing setting.

The role requires a TX OTA license and COTA credential, with SNF experience preferred. Strong communication and teamwork are essential, and familiarity with Net Health EDS is a plus. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas OTA license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or long-term care preferred.
• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents and patients with disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT.
• Relay information and referrals to the OT in response to service requests.
• Ensure all treatments follow the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab
