Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare - East is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house rehab team. You will plan and administer OT treatments to residents, working under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to restore function and improve quality of life.

You will relay information to the OT, ensure care follows the plan of care, and document thoroughly in accordance with policies and regulations.

Qualifications

• Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential is required.
• SNF or long-term care experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of Net Health EDS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide OT services under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the OT.
• Ensure treatments align with the plan of care and regulations.
• Provide instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor responses to interventions and report changes.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely according to policy and state/federal regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.

Join Our Team as a Full-Time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
