Job summary

HONEY GROVE NURSING CENTER in Texas is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to help residents achieve independence and an improved quality of life.

You will plan and provide OT services under supervision, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the rehab team. A Texas OTA license and a COTA credential are required; SNF experience is preferred, and Net Health EDS familiarity is a plus. Competitive benefits and flexible schedules available.

Qualifications

• Texas OTA license active and in good standing.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.
• Provide skilled occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist according to physician orders.
• Respond to requests for service by relaying information to the Occupational Therapist.
• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care.
• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate.
• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely per policy and regulations.
• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long‑term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

What Makes You a Great Fit
