The role involvesProviding occupational therapy treatments under supervision, helping patients participate in daily activities, carrying out treatment plans, documenting progress, and collaborating with the OT and care team. A team-oriented approach and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited OTA program.
• Current Michigan OTA/COTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• NBCOT certification or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under supervision of a licensed OT.
• Help patients improve daily activities.
• Carry out individualized treatment plans and activities.
• Document patient care and progress accurately.
• Communicate with OT and interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients and caregivers as appropriate.
• Promote safety, independence, and quality of life.
• Maintain professional standards and follow state/facility requirements.
