Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Michigan COTA/OTA license or eligibility for licensure.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing, Post-Acute Care, Rehabilitation, Long-Term Care, Home Health, or Outpatient Therapy is a plus but not required.
• New graduates welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist patients with ADLs, self-care skills, upper-extremity function, balance, coordination, and mobility.
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Document patient progress accurately and efficiently.
• Collaborate with OTs, PTs, PTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, and physicians.
• Encourage patients to reach their highest level of independence and function.
