Job summary

Saber Healthcare Group is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility therapy team. You will help restore patients to optimal function and support goals set with physicians and therapists.

Responsibilities include educating patients, leading independent exercise programs, and adjusting activities as advised, while working under DOR/OT supervision. This is a part-time role with negotiable wage and access to our educational opportunities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree from an accredited college required.
• Current and valid license from the state of employment required.
• OTA license from the state of employment required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate service delivery software and the electronic health record system.

Responsibilities

• Restore patients to optimal physical function in SNF setting.
• Instruct patients in maintaining function post-discharge.
• Provide education, independent exercise programs, and activity modification under supervision.

Position Summary:

The primary function of your job return patient to optimal physical function and facilitate the achievement of patient, physician, and therapy goals within a SNF setting. Instruct the patient in maintaining achieved level of function after discharge through education, independent exercise program, and appropriate activity modification, under the supervision of the OT and DOR.

Education/Qualifications:

• Employee must hold an Associate’s Degree from an accredited college.
• Must hold a current and valid license granted from the state of employment.
• Current and valid OTA license granted from state of employment.
• Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including service delivery software and the electronic health record software.
