Job summary

Pivot Rehabilitation is seeking an Occupational Therapy Assistant to support therapy services at our Alvin, TX location. The OTA will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to deliver patient care and assist with treatment documentation.

The role requires an accredited OTA program graduate with current Texas licensure and strong communication skills to coordinate with the rehab team and patients’ families.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current license in practicing state of Texas.
• Strong communication skills and ability to relate professionally to patients, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• TREAT patients as directed by the occupational therapist.
• Record treatments given in the medical record.
• Participate in patient care conferences and weekly rehabilitation meetings.
• Communicate with supervising therapist, rehab director and other team members regarding patient progress, problems, and plans.
• Participate in facility in-service training programs.
• Record daily treatments and labor according to corporate procedure and state OT rules.
