Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is seeking an Occupational Therapy professional to lead department activities and supervise technicians. The role includes evaluating patients, planning treatments, and maintaining competency across standard OT practices, including standardized testing and adaptive equipment transfers.

The incumbent will mentor staff, serve as a clinical instructor for OTA students after one year, and ensure timely documentation and billing.

Qualifications

• Maintains productivity level at department target.
• Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Occupational Therapy.
• Remains competent in standardized testing, Therapeutic exercise, ADL training, Cognitive skills, Wheelchair transfers.
• Attends and provides continuing education in-servicing.
• Serves as mentor for new employee(s) or volunteers.
• Serves as clinical instructor for OTA students after one year of experience as a clinician.
• Completes documentation according to all regulations and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
