Job summary

North Mississippi Health Services is a hospital system in Alabama seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate patient needs and develop treatment plans across therapeutic exercises, ADL training, and cognitive skills.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, adhere to regulations, mentor junior staff, document thoroughly, and maintain high productivity to achieve department goals in a hospital setting in Alabama.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• State license to practice based on facility location – upon hire – required.
• CPR certification – upon hire – required.
• Experience in evaluating and developing OT treatment plans is expected.

Responsibilities

• Supervise COTAs and technicians and provide supervisory visits as per state regulations.
• Maintain monthly department budget for equipment and supplies; ensure proper charging for services.
• Evaluate and establish treatment plans for patients referred to Occupational Therapy.
• Maintain competence in OT areas: Evaluation, Therapeutic Exercise/Activity, ADL training, Cognitive skills, wheelchair transfers, splinting, modalities.
