Job summary

Life Care Centers of America seeks a COTA to provide direct occupational therapy rehab under OT supervision in a post-acute care setting. NBCOT-certified and SC-licensed candidates apply; a $3000 sign-on bonus is offered for full-time employment.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, charting, using therapy software, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and maintaining patient rights and safety while upholding Life Care policies.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification required upon hire; renewal optional
• Graduate of accredited occupational therapy program (ASOT)
• Currently licensed in applicable State with active license
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must stay current during employment

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Liaises with patients, families, support departments to plan for patient needs
• Demonstrates good body mechanics at all times
• Makes independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
• Knowledgeable of post-acute care facility laws, regulations and guidelines
• Implements and interprets department programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures
• Performs in all competency areas including patient rights and safety/sanitation
• Maintains professional relationships with all associates and vendors
• Maintains confidentiality of proprietary information
• Follows company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
• Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to Life Care’s Code of Conduct
