Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an OT to provide direct rehabilitation care to patients upon physician referral in accordance with applicable laws and Life Care standards.

Prerequisites include NBCOT certification, an accredited OT degree (BSOT/MSOT), and an active state license plus CPR. One year of experience preferred; new grads are welcome to apply. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification upon hire; renewal is optional.
• Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (BSOT or MSOT).
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
• One (1) year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.

Responsibilities

• Follows occupational treatment plans for patients (i.e., activities of daily living).
• Establish, assess, and modify realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals.
• Oversee and evaluate care given by OTAs, Rehab Aides, and students.
• Charts appropriately and timely.
• Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
• Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
• Assist in the evacuation of patients.
• Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance.
• Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
• Read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
