Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide direct rehab care and develop functional goals for patients upon physician referral, adhering to all applicable laws and Life Care standards.

Requirements include NBCOT certification upon hire, active state licensure, and CPR certification. One year of experience is preferred, though new grads are welcome to apply in a post-acute setting.

Qualifications

• NBCOT certification on hire; renewal optional
• Graduate of an accredited OT program (BSOT or MSOT)
• Active state licensure with good standing
• 1 year experience preferred; new grads welcome
• CPR certification on hire or during orientation; must remain current

Responsibilities

• Follow occupational treatment plans for patients (ADL)
• Establish and modify measurable goals
• Oversee and evaluate care by OTAs and aides
• Chart appropriately and timely
• Utilize therapy software accurately
• Exhibit excellent customer service and positive attitude toward patients
• Assist in evacuation of patients
• Maintain regular attendance
• Demonstrate judgment and teamwork
• Ensure compliance with department policies and laws governing post-acute care
• Maintain confidentiality and professional relationships with staff and vendors
