Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor, CO is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program. Pay ranges from $32- $45/hour based on experience, with a flexible PRN schedule to support work-life balance.

The role includes screening and evaluating patients, delivering rehabilitative interventions, assisting with wound care, and generating discharge summaries while adhering to regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• PTA license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Deliver skilled, medically necessary treatment interventions per standards.
• Stand/walk regularly; assist with patient lifting and transfers as needed.
• Administer procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, devices, wound care.
• Counsel patients, families, caregivers, and other providers regarding physical disorders.
• Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries compliant with regulatory requirements.

Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor, CO, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery.

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSISTANT – PRN

We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

PRN: Flexible schedule with work-life balance

Pay: $32- $45/hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications
