Job summary

Flagship Therapy seeks a diligent Occupational Therapy Assistant (PRN) for Englewood Heights Post-Acute and Rehab in Pensacola, FL. You will join our in-house therapy team providing rehabilitative services to geriatric patients, with opportunities to contribute to discharge planning and patient education.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatments.
• Assist with standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and positioning of patients and equipment.
• Administer procedures such as manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers about physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us at Englewood Heights Post-Acute and Rehab in Pensacola, FL. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking dedicated PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
