Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor, CO, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join in-house rehab. The PRN role offers flexibility and opportunities to work with our geriatric population in a post-acute setting.

Qualified candidates hold a Physical Therapist Assistant license. We welcome PTAs at all experience levels, including new grads, to contribute to skilled, medically necessary interventions and comprehensive discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Pelican Pointe Healthcare & Rehabilitation in Windsor, CO, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

PRN: Flexible schedule with work-life balance
Pay :$32- $45/ hour based on experience

Key Responsibilities
