• Hospital: Ascension Via Christi, Francis Hospital
• Location: Wichita, Kansas
• Schedule: PRN, Day; variable weekdays 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, variable Saturdays 7:30 am - 4 pm

Responsibilities

1. Conduct medically prescribed occupational therapy under the supervision of an occupational therapist.
2. Implement established treatment plans and document patient progress. Seek consultation as necessary.
3. Monitor patient responses, communicate progress, and assist with goal revisions.
4. Educate patients and families about deficits, discharge planning, adaptive equipment, and community resources.
5. Oversee therapy technicians' care according to regulations and standards.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire, from AHA or Red Cross.
• Certified Rehab Therapist specializing in Occupational Therapy (COTA) credential from Kansas Board of Healing Arts prior to hire.
• High School diploma with 2 years of experience or Associate's/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable experience.

Preferred Experience

Acute care experience is preferred.
