Job summary

The Orchards at Southgate is seeking a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) in Southgate, MI to join our in-house rehab team.

The OTA will plan and administer therapy under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, support residents with disabilities, and coordinate with families and staff while maintaining compliance with state regulations. New grads welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Active/Valid MI OTA license.
• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) certification.
• SNF/long-term care experience preferred.
• Experience providing therapy under supervision and collaborating with families.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer treatment to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Respond to requests for service and relay information to the OT.
• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with policy and regulations.
• Attend meetings as designated by Rehab leadership.

The Orchards at Southgate has an amazing opportunity for a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant in Southgate, MI!

We are looking for an OTA to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals that service our residents through person-centered care to achieve positive outcomes!

Occupational Therapy Assistant Responsibilities:

• Plan and administer treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing.

• Provides skilled occupational therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Responds to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Occupational Therapist

• Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care.

• Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers.

• Monitor patient response to treatment intervention.

• Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Skills:

• SNF/Long term care experience preferred.

• Current knowledge of treatment practices

• Knowledge of Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

• Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities.

Occupational Therapy Assistant Requirements:

• Active/Valid MI license as Occupational Therapy Assistant

• Valid certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards
