Job summary

Creative Solutions in Healthcare - South is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) for a PRN role in our in-house rehab team. You will plan and deliver patient-centered OT services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence.

Responsibilities include documenting treatment plans, coordinating with physicians, caregivers, and families, and participating in team meetings.

Qualifications

• Active Texas OTA license required.
• COTA credential required.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Familiar with OT treatments and plans of care.
• Experience with Net Health EMR preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer OT treatments to residents to relieve pain, restore or improve function.
• Provide skilled OT services under supervision of an OT.
• Respond to service requests with information and referrals.
• Deliver treatments per established plan of care.
• Provide clinical instruction to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Monitor patient response and report changes.
• Complete documentation accurately per policy and regulations.
• Attend meetings designated by the Director of Rehab.

Join Our Team as a Per Diem (PRN) Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our in-house team of outstanding professionals on a PRN basis. In this role, you will provide person-centered care to help residents achieve positive outcomes and improve their independence and quality of life.

Your Impact as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA)

• Plan and administer occupational therapy treatments to residents and patients with temporary or long-term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services and interventions in accordance with physician orders under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

• Respond to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to the Occupational Therapist

• Ensure all treatments are delivered in accordance with the established plan of care

• Provide clinical support and instruction to patients, families, and caregivers

• Monitor patient response to treatment interventions and report changes as appropriate

• Complete required documentation thoroughly and timely in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations

• Attend required meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Active and valid Texas Occupational Therapy Assistant license

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential required

• In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards

• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or long-term care experience preferred

• Current knowledge of occupational therapy treatment practices

• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred

• Ability to manage patients with varying personalities and needs

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
