Legacy Park Health and Rehabilitation in Knoxville, TN, is seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. You will conduct screenings, develop care plans, and deliver rehabilitative therapies to patients with physical functioning disorders.

New grads are welcome; OTA license is required. The role supports discharge planning and interdisciplinary collaboration within a post-acute care setting equipped with CAPLICO values.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, creating care plans.

• Offer counseling to patients, families and caregivers about physical disorders.

Legacy Park in Knoxville, TN, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Occupational Therapy Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Occupational Therapy Assistant license is required.
