Legacy Park Health and Rehabilitation in Knoxville, TN is seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant to join our in-house rehab program. The role involves conducting evaluations, delivering rehabilitation services, and coordinating care with our geriatric patient population.

Open to PTAs at all experience levels; CPTA license is required and we welcome new grads. This is a PRN in-house position focused on quality patient care in a post-acute setting.

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatments per regulatory standards.

• Administer rehabilitation procedures including manual techniques, ambulation, exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients and families about physical disorders.

Physical Therapist Assistant – PRN

KNOXVILLE, TN

Legacy Park in Knoxville, TN, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a PRN Physical Therapist Assistant for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Physical Therapist Assistant license is required.
• Open to PTAs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
