Job summary

Innovate Rehab and Wellness in Kansas City, MO, seeks a Licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our skilled nursing facility full-time. You will deliver high-quality OT services, help residents regain independence, and document progress under OT supervision.

Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP and other staff; educate residents and caregivers; maintain compliant EMR entries; participate in discharge planning and HIPAA/CMS guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited OTA program is required.
  • NBCOT certification is required/preferred and state license as an Occupational Therapy Assistant is required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary to work with residents, families and staff.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans created by the Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide direct patient care per state and facility guidelines.
  • Monitor and document resident progress; report changes to the OT.
  • Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment.
  • Collaborate with nursing, PT, SLP, and other healthcare staff.
