Perkins, located in Watertown, MA, seeks an Occupational Therapist to support students with visual impairments and complex needs. You will deliver direct therapy, conduct assessments, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to foster independence and confidence.

Responsibilities include developing treatment plans, preparing written reports, and participating in IEP/ISP meetings. A MA state OT license and Master’s degree in OT are required; both temporary and permanent positions are

Qualifications

• Provide clinical evaluation and develop comprehensive written reports for students referred to Perkins.
• Review medical, family and educational history to assess functioning and identify needs.
• Develop ongoing treatment plans and recommend adaptive equipment or devices.
• Participate in IEP/ISP meetings and provide program-relevant reports.
• Maintain student records and prepare statistics on service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy to students with visual impairments and complex needs.
• Consult and train members of the interdisciplinary program team.
• Support safety and welfare of students and accompany to medical appointments as needed.
• Assist in grant and proposal writing and professional development activities.
