Job summary

Carle Health in Illinois is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan and administer treatment plans that alleviate pain, restore function, prevent disability, and promote overall health. The role models professional care and serves as a clinical resource for staff and students.

You will participate in patient transfers, educate patients and families, design plans of care, and collaborate with the medical team.

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) through IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
• Bachelor’s Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance from bed, chair and floor as needed.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes and discharge plan.
• Educates patients, families, and other health care providers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates findings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and plan of care.
• Monitors care delivered by support personnel and provides regular feedback.
• Communicates with medical team and performs documentation per standards.
• Meets customer service and productivity standards and serves as a clinical instructor when assigned.
