Qualifications

• BLS certification within 30 days per AHA requirements.
• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) per IDFPR.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients of all ages with an emphasis on functionality.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, families, and staff using effective teaching methods.
• Monitors and documents patient progress and adjusts therapy as needed.
• Collaborates with the medical team and supervises COTA and rehabilitation staff.
• Communicates discharge recommendations and equipment needs to the care team.
