Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in the Rehabilitation department seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients with deficits affecting daily living skills, under the 0.9 FTE schedule. You will design and implement therapy plans to improve independence and functioning.

The role requires Kentucky OT licensure, NBCOT certification, and BLS within 90 days. You will supervise OT/OTA students and educate families to support discharge planning.

Competenze

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required upon hire.
• OT - Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in Kentucky required upon hire.
• OTR - Registered Occupational Therapist from NBCOT required upon hire.
• BLS - Certified as Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment.

Weekend Requirements: One | Work Hours: 7:00AM - 3:30PM | Status: Full Time - 0.9 FTE (72 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Regional Hospital | Department: Rehabilitation

Job Summary:

Evaluates and treats patients with physical, emotional, cognitive, and/or psychosocial deficits which impact their abilities to successfully perform independent living skills.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assesses patient ’s ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
• Designs the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment.
• Implements the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Documents subjective and objective findings of patient progress.
• Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed. Seeks consultation as necessary.
• Educates the patient and family/caregiver about patient deficits.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy services and treatment setting.
• Provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversees the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy technicians according to established licensing laws, state regulations and OT practice standards.
• Supervises OT & OTA students completing clinical rotations.

• No experience required upon hire.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Occupational Therapy required upon hire.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• OT - Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kentucky required upon hire OR
• OTR - Registered Occupational Therapist from National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) required upon hire AND
• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position
