Kendall-Lakes-Health-and-Rehabilitation-Center is seeking an Occupational Therapist to plan, develop, organize, evaluate and direct therapy activities in accordance with governing facility rules.

You will meet with administrative and clinical staff to plan services, maintain standards, and ensure accurate documentation and billing while guiding new personnel and supporting resident care plans.

Qualifikationen

• Provide individualized occupational therapy services to residents according to the resident’s Plan of Care.

Aufgaben

• Plan, develop, organize, evaluate and direct occupational therapy activities in accordance with current rules and guidelines governing the Facility.
• Meet with administration, medical/nursing staff and other departments to plan therapy services.
• Assist in developing and maintaining standards of practice and standardized methods for occupational therapy.
• Maintain departmental policies, procedures, quality assurance, safety and infection control.
• Interpret policies and procedures to residents, families and staff as needed.
• Discharge planning and development/implementation of resident care plans and assessments.
• Instruct residents and family members in home programs and use of adaptive equipment.
• Maintain resident files, treatment records and progress notes; ensure accurate billing and coding.
• Provide guidance and training for new personnel; report occupational exposures as required.
• Assist in evaluating daily living skills and determining appropriate treatment and activities.
