Job summary

Summit Care LLC is seeking an Occupational Therapist in Kansas to provide comprehensive OT services, including evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning for patients in facilities. You will supervise assistants and students while ensuring compliance with state OT regulations.

The role emphasizes quality care, documentation, and collaboration with facility staff, patients, and families to improve functional outcomes and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Program.
• Valid Occupational Therapy License to practice in appropriate state(s).
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective leadership and customer relations skills.
• Ability to exercise mature judgment with initiative in analyzing and solving problems.

Responsibilities

• Ensures execution of doctor’s orders.
• Provides OT screening and evaluation to determine patient status.
• Develops and implements treatment plans with measurable outcomes.
• Oversees and participates in maintenance of therapy records.
• Maintains supplies and equipment.
• Maintains patient schedules per guidelines.
• Documents for reimbursement and chart accuracy.
• Participates in meetings with patients, families, and facility staff.
• Adheres to safety and infection control policies.
• Coordinates training for facility staff, residents, and rehabilitation staff.
• Initiates new program development focused on functional outcomes.
