Job summary

Ayden Healthcare seeks an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our team, floating between Ayden Healthcare of Waterville and Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon. The ideal candidate has experience in skilled nursing facilities and will develop individualized care plans to assist patients in achieving rehabilitation goals.

The role involves collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, educating patients and families, and documenting progress for optimal outcomes across facilities and school partnerships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in occupational therapy within skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of physiology and its application in therapeutic practices.
• Experience with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, is highly desirable.
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient service and fostering a supportive rehabilitation environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on goals and capabilities.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques for daily living activities.
• Document patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to achieve outcomes.
• Provide support in skilled nursing facilities focusing on rehabilitation for varying disabilities.
• Engage in critical care settings to assist patients in regaining independence after acute events.
• Work with schools to support children with special needs and ensure OT services are provided.
