Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Waterville and Wauseon is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated rehab team. The role emphasizes developing individualized care plans and delivering therapeutic interventions for residents in skilled nursing facilities and acute care settings.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, document progress, and support discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Experience in occupational therapy within skilled nursing facilities or acute care settings.
• Ability to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Knowledge of physiology as it relates to therapeutic practices.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, including autism spectrum disorders, is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' needs and develop tailored treatment plans based on individual goals and capabilities.
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and effective discharge planning.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and strategies for improving daily living activities.
• Document patient progress and modify care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide support in skilled nursing facilities, focusing on rehabilitation for individuals with varying disabilities.
• Engage in critical care settings to assist patients in regaining independence following acute medical events.
• Work closely with schools to support children with special needs, ensuring they receive appropriate occupational therapy services.
