Recover-Care Heartland in Kansas is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide diagnostic evaluations and occupational therapy services to assigned patients, aiming to restore maximum function and independence in daily activities.

The role involves developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, coordinating with care teams, educating patients and families, and advancing home programs to support community reintegration.

Qualificações

• Graduate of an accredited OT program (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Doctorate).
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Proficiency with applicable state, federal, and professional standards.

Responsabilidades

• Administers and writes evaluations of assigned patients in accordance with departmental standards and procedures.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Administers treatment programs to increase patients' levels of functioning.
• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Provides prevention therapy to maintain functional skills; instructs patients in energy conservation, joint protection, safety techniques for sensory loss, and transferring and visual field deficits; instructs patients' families in personal care for patients, especially proper transfer techniques to avoid back strain.
• Develops home programs and instructs patients or families in carrying out such programs.
• Participates in patient support groups with other team members.
