Job summary

Recover-Care Heartland in Kansas is seeking an Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents with disabilities, and to develop plans for daily living and work environments in line with federal guidelines and state practice acts. The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with physicians, and education for residents and families.

The OT will screen and plan care under orders, instruct on adaptive equipment, maintain records, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Current OT license as required by state law.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Under a physician’s orders, screens and evaluates residents/patients and develops appropriate care plans.
• Instructs residents, families, and caregivers in adaptive equipment use.
• Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
• Devises special tools and treatments for patients’ specific needs.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and regulations.
