Job summary

Recover-Care in Gardner, Kansas is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to provide diagnostic evaluations and treatment to assigned patients, helping them reach maximum performance to function in the community within their capabilities.

You will administer evaluations, maintain accurate records, direct support staff, design individualized therapy, and teach energy conservation and safety techniques to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Bachelors, Masters or Doctorate).
• Current registration with the American Occupational Therapy Association.
• Proficiency with state, federal and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Administers and documents evaluations for assigned patients.
• Maintains timely and accurate patient records and reports.
• Directs the assistance of support staff to achieve patients’ functional goals.
• Administers treatment programs to increase patients' levels of functioning.
• Designs individualized therapy for adult learning-disabled patients.
• Provides prevention therapy and teaches energy conservation and safety techniques.
• Develops home programs and trains patients/families.
• Participates in patient support groups with the team.
