Job summary

Encore at Parkside is seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to organize and conduct therapy programs in Skilled and Outpatient Departments, directing patient participation to restore and enhance daily functioning. The OT will assess patients, develop goals, and plan treatment in collaboration with the rehab team to adapt care and ensure safe, compassionate service with thorough documentation.

Current Delaware licensure and CPR are required; experience with NetHealth documentation is

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited OT program.
• Current Delaware state licensure.
• CPR Certification.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth).
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise OT Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as needed in line with licensure and standards.
• Deliver rehab services per plan of care; adhere to schedules and document services.
• Attend patient care conferences and related meetings.
• Make referrals to other disciplines and agencies to address patient needs.
• Collaborate with rehab team to select appropriate therapy regimens.
• Adapt plans of care to individual patient needs.
• Promote a safe environment and address fire and safety hazards.
• Order supplies and maintain equipment.
• Ensure documentation and record keeping for services.
• Provide patient- and family-centered care with compassionate service.
