Job summary

Encore Parkside is currently seeking a Full-Time Occupational Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The OT will plan and conduct therapy programs in both Skilled and Outpatient Departments, helping patients regain function and independence.

Responsibilities include supervising assistants, delivering care per plan, documenting services, collaborating with the rehab team, and ensuring safety and quality of care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapist (OT) therapy program.
• Current DE state licensure.
• CPR Certification.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Results-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with therapy documentation (NetHealth).

Responsibilities

• Supervise Occupational Therapy Assistants, temporary licensees, students, and support personnel as per licensure and standards.
• Deliver rehab services per plan of care; ensure timely documentation of services.
• Attend patient care, staffing conferences, and related meetings.
• Refer to other disciplines and agencies for comprehensive patient care.
• Consult with rehab team to select appropriate therapeutic regimens.
• Adapt plan of care according to patient needs.
• Promote a safe environment and eliminate hazards.
• Order supplies and equipment as necessary.
• Maintain equipment and report repairs.
• Prioritize patient service and ensure high-quality care.
• Screen, examine, and evaluate patients; develop treatment goals with patients and caregivers; implement plan and document progress.
