Job summary

Mercy seeks a dedicated Occupational Therapist to provide patient care through organized, medically prescribed programs, while adhering to state practice acts and governing regulations. You will contribute to program development and care coordination within the department.

The role requires a graduate OT program, current or eligible OT license (temporary license up to 90 days), and BLS certification; National Board Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current OT license or eligibility within the hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs.
• Works within the State Practice Act and regulations.
• Assists in special projects and coordinates activities in patient care programs.

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Position Details:

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.

Experience:

• Certifications: Current BLS.
• Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Certifications:

• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.
