Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide patient care by organizing and conducting prescribed programs in accordance with state regulations.

You will work with a team to promote growth of the department, respond to emergencies, and maintain current BLS certification as part of standard practice at Mercy. Eligibility for licensure in the hiring state is required; National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility in hiring state; temporary license up to 90 days allowed.
• Current BLS certification.
• Must be able to respond to emergency situations.
• National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy preferred.

Provides patient care by organizing and conducting medically prescribed programs in order to achieve maximum potential. Displays treatment skills practicing within the scope of State Practice Act and in compliance with all rules and regulations with National Board and governing bodies in the state of practice. Promotes growth and development of department by assisting in special projects and/or coordinating activities in patient care programs.

Position Details

Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.

Licensure: Current Occupational Therapy license or eligibility within the hiring state, may work under a temporary license up to 90 days.

Experience

Certifications: Current BLS.

Other: Must be able to respond to emergency situations.

Preferred Experience

Preferred Certifications: National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy.
