Job summary

Pine Ridge Care Center in San Rafael, CA is hiring an Occupational Therapist (OT) to evaluate and treat residents within a multidisciplinary team. The OT will plans and administer therapy, assess neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues, and support safe discharge planning in coordination with care staff.

Applicants should hold a degree in Occupational Therapy and an active California license; new graduates are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy.
• Active California OT license.
• 1 year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates, plans and administers therapy for neuromuscular and musculoskeletal issues.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, ROM, and respiratory/circulatory function.
• Provides direct clinical treatment per an established care plan.
• Works within an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Performs home assessments as appropriate to ensure safe discharge.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Duties and Responsibilities Performed within scope of practice and federal guidelines:
• Evaluates, plans and administers treatment to patients with problems related to neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems.
• Administers and interprets tests and measurements for muscle strength, coordination, range of motion, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency.
• Provides direct clinical treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Participates in an interdisciplinary team of clinicians.
• Provides adaptive tools and treatments for specific patient needs.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Conducts simulated and/or actual home assessments, as appropriate, to ensure discharge of residents to a safe environment.

• ccupational Therapist (OT) Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred. New graduates welcomed.
• Current license to practice Therapy Occupational Therapy Issued by California.
