Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN is seeking an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for PRN weekend coverage. You’ll evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and contribute to discharge planning as part of a multidisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians and nurses, documentation, and educating patients and families. PRN schedule includes weekday and weekend coverage, with daily pay and access to modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Certified Occupational Therapist in Indiana (state license).
• Current CPR certification.
• New graduates welcome.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to promote functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home programs.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and hospital initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Inpatient Occupational Therapist – PRN

Location: Mishawaka, IN

Schedule: PRN, weekday and weekend coverage

Department: Inpatient Rehabilitation Services

As an Inpatient Occupational Therapist, you'll be a key contributor to a multidisciplinary team, helping patients regain independence and improve their quality of life. From evaluation to discharge planning, your expertise will support recovery and enhance the hospital experience.
