Job summary

Saint Joseph Health System in Mishawaka, IN seeks an Inpatient Occupational Therapist for PRN weekend coverage. The role involves evaluation, treatment planning, and discharge planning within an inpatient rehab setting.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team to support patient independence and safe home transitions. Requirements include a BA/BS in Occupational Therapy, Indiana OT license, current CPR, and openness to new grads or experienced clinicians.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Occupational Therapy from an accredited academic program.
• Certified Occupational Therapist in the State of Indiana.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous clinical experience preferred.
• New graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
• Deliver skilled therapeutic interventions to promote functional independence.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and fellow therapists to ensure coordinated care.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, progress, and home programs.
• Accurately document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge summaries.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and hospital initiatives.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Schedule: PRN, weekday and weekend coverage
