Job summary

AdvisaCare is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide patient-centered care within the local community in Michigan. Deliver individualized treatment plans, educate clients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support independent living and functional goals.

You will evaluate, set goals, and oversee therapy services while delivering compassionate care aligned with AdvisaCare’s mission to improve quality of life for clients and families.

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist program.
• Current Michigan OT license and CPR certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexible to adapt to changing client needs and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing individualized treatment plans.
• Conduct occupational exercises to improve independence and daily living.
• Assess and document clients’ progress and adjust plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams for continuity of care.
• Communicate with clients, families, and caregivers to provide support.
• Adhere to legal, ethical, and professional standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the licensed Occupational Therapist
• Conduct occupational exercises and activities with clients, focusing on improving independence, finctional abilities, and quality
• Assess and document clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and caregivers, providing support and answering questions
• Adhere to all relevant legal, ethical, and professional standards

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Occupational Therapist program
• Current licensure as a Occupational Therapist in the state of Michigan
• CPR certification
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
